To work on a film like One Life is difficult because it needs emotions and warmth, yet should not be too cloying.
"I tried to find themes that were reflecting that warmth and that I could express with different instrumentation. Collaborating with the director James Hawes on One Life was a huge pleasure because he gave me a lot of freedom in the creative process of the composition. For me it was clear that it should be a classic score with strings and piano —the recordings with the London Contemporary Orchestra went very well."
One Life is in cinemas now. The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be released digitally via Lakeshore Records.
