Introducing SPOTLIGHT — the Composer Magazine Podcast segment dedicated to showcasing up-and-coming composing talent!

In addition to being our brand new co-host, composer Natalie Holt will be speaking to emerging composers and artists — championing musicians who may not yet be on your radar, but certainly should be.

This week sees Nat in conversation with her mentee, London-based Florence Sabeva, who discusses her favourite sounds and approach to composing, juggling parenthood with her craft, and who gives us both a taste of her album and plays her own rendition of Carter Burwell's 'Mystery of Inisherin'.

My father used to play in an orchestra in Germany, and my mum used to dance ballet. All of this artistic influence has informed my music.
